  • Charlie

    Female / 5 months old

Charlie came to us as an tiny, 8 week old kitten found all alone, crying in a driveway. Despite her rough start, she’s grown into a confident, spunky girl with a big personality. Charlie lives for playtime - chasing toys, pouncing, and inventing her own kitten games. She’s not much of a cuddler, there’s simply too much fun to be had! Charlie has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is FeLV negative.

  • Birdie

    Female / 5 months old

This tiny daredevil who once wandered alone among a colony of older cats and made rescuers work hard for her affection. After four chilly days of crying, dodging, and outsmarting every trap, she was finally caught. She pretends she’s too cool for cuddles, flattening her ears like she’s unimpressed, but her thunderous purr gives her away every time. She just has so much playing to do—snuggles can wait! Birdie is healthy, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is FeLV negative.

  • Joey

    Male / 3 months old

Joey is independent and runs his own show. He’s very sweet and is the first to greet you, often by climbing right up your shirt to get as close to your face as possible and then meowing as if to say “where have you beeeeeen, I’ve been waiting for you!”. He loves to eat, climb, chase springs and balls and parkour from cat tree to bookshelf and back to cat tree. He has a big, happy personality and is ready to claim his forever person who he will require to sign a lifetime contract promising to provide an unlimited supply of Churu’s. Joey has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is FeLV negative.

  • Mac

    Male / 3 months old

Mac is a certified Velcro kitten who believes personal space is highly overrated. He loves chasing balls and scaling cat trees like a pro, but when he decides it’s cuddle time, it’s a full sprint to your lap-and then up into your neck for snuggles and kisses. Affectionate, playful, and endlessly devoted, Mac is the kind of kitten who wants to be wherever you are. If you’re looking for a tiny shadow with a huge heart and serious passion for cuddling, Mac is ready to claim his spot in your arms (and your heart). Mac has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is FeLV negative.

  • Kit Kat

    Male / 8 months old

Meet Kit Kat, a sweet, Marion native. He’s incredibly affectionate and happiest when he’s curled up on the bed, soaking up the snuggles. Kit Kat gets along wonderfully with other cats and dogs, making him an easy addition to a multi-pet household. He’s gentle, social and ready to trade in his days on the streets for a lifetime of comfort, safety and love indoors. Kit Kat has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is FIV/FeLV negative.

  • Caballito

    Female / 3 years old

Caballito is a true sweetheart at her core. This former feral mama lived her life outdoors surviving the elements on her own until a gracious sole called for help when she found her giving birth under her porch. She adores her foster mom and loves a good scratch session, but needless to say she will take a bit of time in warming up in her new home as she didn’t know human love her first 3 years of life. She raised her babies like the calico queen she is and now she herself is ready to find her perfect home where she can feel safe and loved (maybe from a distance sometimes). Caballito is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and FIV/FeLV negative.

  • Bramble

    Male / 3.5 months old

Bramble is a sweet little adventure seeker with a curious heart and zero bad intentions. He’s always poking around to see what’s happening, and then politely asking for affection. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is FeLV negative. He does have a grade III systolic heart murmur that we will be following up on.

  • Archie

    Male / 6.5 months old

On December 11, we picked Archie up from the McDonald’s in Marion after reports he’d been crying in the drive-through for two-weeks. He is a sweet, shy boy who is still learning to be an indoor couch potato but he’s doing great and very much enjoys laying on the heater vents and his unlimited supply of food. He is available for adoption to an indoor only home. Archie has now been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is FIV/FeLV negative.

  • Gray (aka Butter)

Male / Apx 2 years old

Gray is an approximately 2-year old neutered male who came into our care on December 1st after being found wearing a very small, extremely tight kitten collar around his neck. He was very sick when he arrived and it’s clear he had been struggling for some time. Gray is currently safe with us, receiving medication and the care he desperately needed. We are actively searching for his owners. If you believe Gray may be yours, please reach out to us. Despite everything he’s been through, Gray is an absolute sweetheart. He wants nothing more than to melt into your lap (hence how he got the nickname Butter). Once his medical is complete, Gray will be fully vaccinated and available for adoption to an indoor-only home.

  • Bellini

    Female / 3.5 months old

Meet Bellini, a tiny tortie with a big personality. This sassy lady knows exactly what she wants and she isn’t afraid to tell you. Equal parts spice and sweetness, Bellini is ready to run the house. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and is FeLV negative.

Adopt a Straygency agent. Warning: agents are known to sabotage lonely evenings, dismantle stress, and leave affection-based evidence all over your lap!

Declawing:

We are proudly and unapologetically an anti-declaw rescue. Declawing isn’t a manicure—it’s an amputation of the last bone of each toe, a procedure so painful it’s been banned in dozens of countries. Cats who are declawed often develop chronic pain, arthritis, and litter box avoidance because it hurts to dig. Because our mission is to protect the cats in our care long after they leave us, all adopters must agree never to declaw any cat adopted from our rescue. We do not allow exceptions—ever. If you’re looking for a cat who can live happily with their claws intact (as nature intended), we’re the rescue for you.

Adoption Fees:

Before you take home your new furry sidekick, we’ve gotta talk about the adoption fee.  We know – no one loves fees but this one isn’t a villain…it’s actually the super hero of the story.

Why Do We Charge an Adoption Fee?

Because rescuing cats isn’t free—and kittens still refuse to pay rent—every furry guest at The Straygency arrives with a whole dossier of needs: vet visits, parasite meds, and the occasional “I picked up a funk from my prior outdoor adventures” moment.  Your adoption fee heads straight into our “Oh great, another surprise cat just materialized out of thin air” emergency fund, which goes directly toward their care. We’re 100% volunteer-run, with zero paid staff, so every penny of adoption fees and donations goes exactly where it should: to the cats.

The Official Straygency Rates

·       Adult Cats: $100

·       Kittens: $125 – yes, kittens cost more.  They eat like tiny linebackers.

·       Bonded pair: $150 – because who are we to get in the middle of a situationship?

What Does the Adoption Fee Cover?

Your fee directly covers real-life, that actually costs money stuff, including:

·       Spay/neuter surgery – because we’re ending the “baby boom” that none of us asked for.

·       Age-appropriate vaccinations

·       Deworming & parasite treatments

·       Flea/tick prevention

·       Microchip & registration

·       FeLV/FIV testing

·       Medications and vet exams while in our care.

If you went out and paid for all of these services on your own, you’d be dropping anywhere from $350 - $700 per cat.  So, when you adopt from us, you’re not just saving a life and money – you’re getting a vetted, fixed, cleaned-up, de-parasited, microchipped, fully briefed cat who’s ready for their forever home.

Why Not Make Adoption Free?

Because then we couldn’t:

·       Help the next sick kitten found in a parking lot

·       Say “yes” when someone finds a stray that desperately needs medical care

·       Take in a stray momma cat with a litter of 5 sick kittens

Your adoption fee isn’t a purchase price.  It’s a rescue investment that allows us to keep saving cats who can’t save themselves.
